Penetrating Damp Treatment
Penetrating damp can appear on walls or ceilings and may worsen during or after rain. Possible indicators include localised staining, deteriorated finishes and damp timber, but the appearance alone does not establish the source.
A repair scope can include rainwater goods, roof or flashing work, pointing, render or seals around openings where those defects are supported by the inspection. Surface water-repellent products are not proposed as a substitute for repairing an underlying defect.
From source repair to drying
The written quotation should identify the defect being addressed, access needs, preparation, the proposed materials and any areas excluded from the work. Roof, drainage or structural issues may require another specialist or design input before Parkside can confirm a scope.
After the water source is stopped, masonry and finishes may take time to dry. Stained plaster, timber and decoration are reviewed separately so secondary repairs are not confused with the work needed to stop entry.
