Damp Surveys in Dorset
A diagnosis-led damp and timber inspection
Parkside Surveyors considers the wider building rather than treating an electronic meter reading as a diagnosis. The agreed inspection can include moisture distribution, relative humidity, surface conditions, ventilation, rainwater goods, external levels, visible timber and accessible floor or roof voids. Thermal imaging may be used where conditions make it useful.
The report explains the evidence, likely causes and practical next steps. It also records access limitations and says when opening-up, drainage investigation or advice from another specialist is needed. No non-invasive inspection can guarantee that every concealed defect will be found.
Standard Damp Survey
The confirmed fee is £65 + VAT. Parkside will check that this is the right survey for your enquiry before booking.
Pre-Purchase Damp Surveys
Fixed at £250 + VAT, with written findings and practical recommendations to help buyers understand damp and timber concerns before completion.
Parkside Level 2 Property Report
Starting from £395 + VAT. This broader construction-led report considers the visible condition of the property, not only damp and timber concerns. Compare the scope.
Local damp survey coverage
Parkside's principal survey regions are Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, with the strongest local focus around Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. Appointments remain subject to availability, access and confirmation of the property postcode. These local guides describe service coverage and do not claim separate Parkside offices.
Survey first, repair quotation separately
The inspection fee pays for the survey and report. If suitable remedial work falls within Parkside Construction's scope, a separate written quotation can be prepared after diagnosis. There is no obligation to use Parkside Construction, and no fixed repair price is offered before the cause and extent are understood.
Before booking, read what a damp survey should include and the confirmed survey pricing, or send photographs and the property postcode through the enquiry form.
