Specialist Damp Proofing & Timber Treatment

Damp is rarely solved properly by treating the visible stain alone. Rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation, defective plaster, bridging, poor ventilation and external building defects can all produce similar symptoms. Our role is to identify the true cause and recommend the correct remedial approach.

At Parkside Construction, we are committed to providing robust, chemical-minimal damp protection. Rather than injecting synthetic chemicals blindly into masonry, we profile wall salts, check external rainwater lines, and design ventilation improvements to cure damp sustainably.

We Inspect, Diagnose, Report, Specify and Repair

Our single accountable point of contract covers:

Dynamic salt profiling
External level review
Non-destructive damp scans
Plaster specification & installation

Our Survey-Led Guarantee

With 24+ years of practical construction expertise and 12+ years of specialist moisture diagnostics, we understand the physics of period UK properties. Every project is executed by qualified plasterers and timber restoration joiners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is a chemical damp proof course always required?

No. High moisture readings are often caused by bridged cavities, high masonry salt concentrations, leaking rain pipes, or plaster touching damp sub-concrete slabs. We specify the correct remedy based on moisture analysis first.

Q: Do you repair the plasterwork after treatment?

Yes. Traditional gypsum finishes fail rapidly if re-applied to salt-affected bricks. We specify and apply heavy sand-cement renders with salt-inhibitors or traditional lime plaster to protect walls permanently.
